In this project:
The pool cage and its surrounding frame were visibly affected by Florida’s humid climate, with a buildup of green algae and grime on the white aluminum structures. We used a specialized extended nozzle attachment to ensure effective cleaning of hard-to-reach upper sections and corners, restoring the cage’s clean and well-maintained appearance.
1. Initial inspection
Our team started with a detailed assessment of the entire pool cage and frame. We identified areas with heavy green algae, mildew, and dirt buildup—especially on upper beams, corners, and screen edges.
2. Equipment setup
We selected the right pressure washer for the job, fitted with an extended reach wand to clean tall and hard-to-access areas safely from the ground.
3. Applying cleaning solution
We sprayed a biodegradable, pool-safe cleaning solution over all surfaces. It’s designed to break down algae, mold, and grime without damaging aluminum or harming nearby plants.
4. Dwell time
The solution was left on the surfaces for about 10–15 minutes to soften buildup and loosen dirt before rinsing.
5. Pressure washing from bottom to top
We cleaned the frame systematically, starting from the lower sections and working our way up. This helped avoid streaks and made sure the grime didn’t drip onto already-cleaned areas.
6. Reaching high areas
Using the extended wand and angled nozzle, we tackled high beams, corners, and the cage roof without needing ladders, ensuring full coverage and safety.
7. Adjusting pressure levels
Pressure was carefully controlled to be strong enough to clean but gentle enough not to damage the aluminum structure or paint.
8. Thorough rinse
After pressure washing, we rinsed all areas with clean water to remove any leftover cleaning solution and debris.

I think, I have a similar-sized pool cage. Could you tell me how much a cleaning like that would cost?
Pressure washing a pool cage of this size and in similar condition (as shown in the photo) typically costs between $250 and $350. The final price depends on the overall condition of the cage, including the amount of mold, dirt buildup over time, and the age of the structure itself — since older screens tend to be more delicate and require a gentler approach.
In any case, you can use this range as a reference. We’re always happy to come out for a free estimate and provide you with a personalized quote.
How long does pressure washing a pool cage and frame like this usually take?
On average, pressure washing a pool cage like this takes about 2 to 2.5 hours.
Can we use the pool right after the cleaning, or do we need to wait a bit?
Yes, you can use the pool after a pressure washing of the pool cage, as we do not use harsh chemicals and always work very carefully to protect the pool. We take extra steps to prevent any runoff from entering the water. However, we still recommend that our clients wait a little while after the cleaning—whether it’s the pool cage or the pool deck—so the pool can go through at least one full filtration cycle. This is just a precaution, as even minimal exposure to residue can cause reactions in sensitive individuals.
