Object: condo in Cape Coral, about 3000 sq feet.
Cleaning items: 3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 1 office, 2 lanais, carpets in 4 rooms and wardrobes.
House features: a lot of doors, doors frames, baseboards, pet urine stains on carpets and pets hair.
Deep cleaning is recommended at a minimum frequency of once every six months. Over time, dirt and dust accumulate in often-neglected areas, such as the corners, the tops of high kitchen cabinets, closets, curtain rods, ceiling chandeliers, and other hard-to-reach places. In our work we used the following cleaning solutions and equipment:
Cleaning solutions: all-purpose cleaner certified by Green Seal, a neutral pH solution for mirrors and glass, a natural degreaser, a natural cleaner for tubs, showers, and toilets, a natural multi-surface disinfectant, cooktop cleaner, stain remover, enzyme spray, shampoo, conditioner, and aromatic carpet foam.
Equipment and inventory: a vacuum cleaner equipped with a HEPA filter, extraction machine with attachments, mop.
Consumables: microfiber cleaning clothes, pads, brushes.
Two workers undertook the cleaning task and successfully finished the entire job in 9 hours.
Cleaning procedure
In the current case:
We initiate the cleaning process by commencing with the master bedroom and bathroom, employing a systematic top-to-bottom and circular approach to ensure comprehensive cleaning.
Step 1: Dusting
- Dusting of all surfaces, shelves, doors, doors frames, baseboards, window sills
- Wiping down electronic appliances, pictures, frames, interior items and lamps
- Cleaning and dusting furniture, applying aromatic spray
- Cleaning and polishing wooden furniture
Step 2: Blinds
- Firstly, we cleared the way to the windows, and then carefully cleaned and dusted the blinds throughout the apartment
Step 3: Bathrooms
- We cleaned and sanitized all 4 bathrooms
- Then the sinks, countertops, and mirrors were disinfected, washed and dried
- The toilets were scrubbed and disinfected
- Showers and tubs were sanitized
Step 4: Kitchen
- Cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen surfaces and the sink
- Wiping down countertops
- Cleaning the exterior of appliances, including the refrigerator, oven, dishwasher and microwave
Step 5: Floors
- Vacuuming all floors, including carpets
- Mopping floors according to their type, including the floor at lanais (carpets washing is in the next step)
Step 6: Carpet deep cleaning
- We began the carpet cleaning process after completing the general cleaning tasks
- Pre-Inspection: we inspected the carpets to identify specific stains, spots, or high-traffic areas that may require extra attention
- Vacuuming: all carpets were vacuumed to remove loose dirt, dust, pet hair and debris
- Stain and spot treatment: the appropriate stain and spot solutions such as enzyme spray and special spot remover were applied to identified problem areas
- We allowed the treatments to sit for 10 minutes to break down stains
- An extraction machine with hot water was used for deeper brushing the carpets
- The machine injected a cleaning solution into the carpet and then extracted it, along with dirt and stains, removing embedded dirt and allergens from the carpet fibers
- The shampoo and conditioner were applied, and after the washing we combed the carpet fibers to restore their appearance
- Drying: to speed up the drying process, we used the fans to prevent mold or mildew growth
Step 7: Final Inspection
- Checking for any missed spots or areas, all stains have gone
- Ensuring all surfaces are properly dusted and polished where it is needed
- Replacing any trash bags with new ones
- Ensuring the home looks neat and well-maintained
