Cleaning procedure

The goal of deep cleaning was the preparation before the season, it was carried out before the arrival of the owners of the house for the autumn-winter season. The house was normal in terms of cleanliness, but since the owners were away the entire summer season, a little dust had accumulated, and the slider windows were dirty due to heavy summer rains.

We followed two of our authors’ checklists: deep cleaning the house and washing the windows.

In the current case:

We initiated our cleaning process by giving priority to the master bedroom and bathroom. We follow a systematic top-to-bottom approach in a circular way to ensure a thorough and all-encompassing cleaning.

Master bedroom, other bedrooms and living:

• Dust: dusting all surfaces, including shelves, blinds and baseboards and all other essential parts of the house, and also electronic equipment
• Clearing away any mess and objects that are out of place in these rooms
• Vacuuming the upholstered furniture
• Cleaning surfaces: using suitable cleaning solutions to wipe all surfaces, including furniture, windowsills, and decorative items
• Caring for carpets: vacuuming and applying a conditioner
• Reorganizing: adjusting any furniture or decor that was moved during cleaning
• Vacuuming and mopping the floors to eliminate dust, dirt, and debris
• Adding final touches: putting back items and decorations, ensuring the rooms have a tidy and welcoming appearance

Bathrooms:

• Commencing with the dusting and sweeping of the bathrooms, including light fixtures and vents
• Cleaning and disinfecting the toilets, tubs, and showers, with careful attention to faucets and fixtures
• Countertops and sinks: cleaning and disinfecting the countertops and sink
• Cleaning the mirrors using a suitable glass cleaner
• Floor washing and drying
• Returning any bathroom items and toiletries that were temporarily removed

Windows:

• We cleaned inside and outside windows facing the lanai
• Preparation: we gathered all the necessary materials, such as a window cleaning solution, a bucket, cloths, rubber gloves, and a handheld brush
• The surrounding area was protected, such as the floor and furniture, to prevent water or cleaning solution from getting on them
• We applied the window cleaning solution to the glass and, using a handheld brush, carefully cleaned the glass, starting from the top and moving downward
• The dust, dirt, and stains were removed
• Then, the cleaning solution was rinsing off with water
• Finishing: we used clean, dry cloths and paper towels to wipe away any moisture with no streaks left and give the windows a shine

Kitchen:

• Preparing the kitchen by removing any objects from the countertops and tidying up the surfaces
• Taking care of the kitchen appliances by cleaning their exteriors, such as the refrigerator, oven, microwave, and dishwasher
• Thoroughly wiping and disinfecting the countertops
• Cleaning and disinfecting the sink, with special attention to the faucet and drain
• Gently cleaning the cabinet doors
• Using a vacuum to clean the kitchen floor, followed by mopping it
• Reorganizing items on the countertops and in the cabinets to ensure they are neatly organized
• Performing a final inspection to ensure the kitchen is clean, sanitized, and ready for use

Lanai, garage and outdoor furniture:

• Sweeping to clear away debris
• Dusting to remove any accumulated dust on furniture and decor
• Washing the furniture to ensure cleanliness
• Vacuuming and mopping lanai floors
• Extra service was vacuuming and mopping the garage floors
